RioBravoFineArt: 110 N. Broadway
The Second Saturday Art Hop at RioBravoFineArt will be the introduction of two artists new to the gallery - Myron Leski and David Schwindt.
Schwindt is a longtime New Mexico artist noted for his superb landscapes. Schwindt grew up in Colorado and learned to paint the Southwest landscape in his early years. Schwindt moved to Santa Fe in 1971 and discovered the art, artists, and landscape of the Land of Enchantment. Over the years, he has developed a highly successful career as an artist; he participates in several artist groups, has shown in galleries throughout the U.S. and taught art classes.

Leski’s art education background includes the Chicago Institute of Art, Montclair College in New York, and the Arts Student League of New York. He taught art and was in the commercial art world on the East Coast for most of his career. About ten years ago, he moved to New Mexico. He now applies his exceptional artistic skills to capturing the landscape of the Southwest along with its people and fauna.
The show for Schwindt and Leski runs through November 23.
In addition to the introduction of two new artists at RioBravoFineArt, the October 11 Art Hop will feature two other special events for the gallery. First, the gallery will introduce delightfully clever mounted graphic cutouts by Alan Thompson. The horse is the theme for Thompson’s show of matted images. Second, one of our favorite Wisconsinite artists, Martye Allen, has just placed four new clay fired pieces at the gallery. Allen is not only a talented painter, but she is also a wonderful fired clay sculptor. These pieces are one of Allen’s favorite subjects – the bear. Both Thompson’s and Allen’s works are must see new additions to the gallery selection of artwork.
