Holly Marino was born and raised in Gary, Indiana and started painting and drawing as a young child. As an adolescent, she had frequent exposure to the West. In her early adult years, while still living in the Midwest, Holly not only owned a business and raised a family, but she also took art lessons from exceptional teachers and established a successful art career. Her teachers were from such institutions as the American Academy of Art, the School of Realistic Art, and the Art Institute of Chicago.

Marino now resides in New Mexico. Her move to New Mexico has presented her with the opportunity to fully explore her art, her love for American West and the cowboy culture of the West. Many of Marino’s works involve scenes of everyday farm and ranch life. She artfully captures moments that range from the intensity of a cowboy wrangling a steer to the ground to the quiet respite of a horsewoman reclining during a work break.

Much of Marino’s work is watercolors. In addition, she teaches watercolors. She also has experience painting with acrylic on canvas and leather. Over the years, her artwork has won many prestigious awards. Marino’s show runs through September 21.
