West, a long-time member of the Truth or Consequences art scene, is an artist who works across various media. This show opening in September offers a unique opportunity to experience West's interactive artwork, featuring both sculpture and wall art.

Artist's Statement: “I have a concept that the present and the now are the yin and yang of time and space. Presently Now is my exploration of this idea. In this body of artwork, I present the ‘now’ as never changing space and the ‘present’ as time constantly changing relative to space. The structures represent space as they never change. Time is represented by the viewer’s perspective, which changes relative to the viewing position. Although the structures can be moved and placed in alternative positions, they have not changed but will appear to be different from a previous placement.”

West states his artistic vision as follows: “Being an artist is a lifestyle; the product of that lifestyle, the art, is a way of sharing that experience with others. My works are a sincere effort to share visual, intellectual, and emotional points of view using sight to stimulate the formulation and crystallization of philosophical ideas.”
