Levitt AMP Music Series
Thanks largely to overwhelming community support in the public voting round in September 2025, we were seleted to recieve a Levitt AMP Music Series grant providing funding for three years of free, outdoor concerts in Ralph Edwards Park.

Stay tuned for announcements about the dates and artists for the 2026 season in early spring.

Fiesta 2026
MainStreet is overseeing the planning of Fiesta 2026.​​
​
Are you interested in volunteering to help put together Fiesta? Join the Fiesta Commitee for a Volunteer Kick-off meeting on Tuesday, January 20 at 5 pm at the Geronimo Springs Museum, 211 Main Ave.
Learn about all the volunteering possibilities and put your ideas for Fiesta themes in the suggestion box!

T or C Curb Appeal
​In August 2025, downtown T or C business/building owners were able to apply for a microgrant between $200 and $1,200, to complete an exterior, street-facing project that improves the "curb appeal" of their building and the town. In early September a Selection Committee met and awarded project funding.
​
This project was funded by a grant from the New Mexico Resiliency Alliance along with additional donations from local organizations and individuals.

Old-Fashioned Christmas
Event Date: Friday, December 12, 2025
​
Downtown T or C was lit up with festive decorations, and the Parade of Lights delighted children of all ages!
After the parade, Santa met children at Healing Waters Plaza, shoppers enjoyed stores open late and vendors at the plaza, and fire barrels dotted the streets for a cozy spot to warm up.

Small Business Saturday
Event Date: November 29, 2025
Time: 12 - 8 pm

We partnered with the Truth or Consequences & Sierra County Chamber of Commerce and with MRGEDA to sponsor a raffle for people who shopped at any Sierra County small business on this date.
​​
Founded by American Express in 2010, Small Business Saturday is a day dedicated to supporting small businesses and communities across the country and is part of the larger Shop Small Movement.

Trick or Treat Downtown
Event date: Friday, October 31
Time: 6-7 pm
​
Families came down for Trick-or-Treating. Many downtown businesses handed out candy from their storefronts, and other businesses and community members gave out candy at the Plaza. MainStreet T or C held a costume contest at the Plaza - click below to see photos of the winners!

Dancing in the Streetlight
Downtown concert series
MainStreet T or C collaborated with the City of Truth or Consequences to present a short concert series, Dancing in the Streetlight, in late summer/early fall 2025.
​
This was a 2-part series of outdoor, free, family-friendly concerts held at Healing Waters Plaza in central Downtown. Attendees brought lawn chairs, enjoyed dinner from a food truck, and danced in the streets.

Fiesta 75th Anniversary
and Fall Fiesta
MainStreet T or C oversaw the planning and execution of the 75th anniversary of Fiesta on May 2-4, the annual celebration of our town's name change from Hot Springs to Truth or Consequences in 1950.
​
On September 12-14 we continued the celebration with Fall Fiesta.

Trash Can Painting 2025
MainStreet T or C invited community members to volunteer to paint one of the downtown trash cans. A successful pilot project in 2023 saw the painting of 6 cans, and this round includes 8 additional cans to be painted.

Artists painted their cans in January/February 2025. Visit downtown T or C to see some fantastic new art!

Show of Hands
Through a grant from the New Mexico Resiliency Alliance, as well as generous donations from local businesses, organizations, and individuals, MainStreet T or C carried out a project called Show of Hands.
​
We invited local entrepreneurs (current or aspiring businesses) to submit an application and business plan.
A selection panel chose the 4 strongest plans and invited those entrepreneurs to prepare a pitch for a public event.
Attendees at the event voted to determine the winner of a $5,000 grant.

Project completed October 2024
E-commerce in T or C

MainStreet T or C was awarded the LEADS grant to provide a variety of FREE workshops to help business owners strengthen their e-commerce skills and knowledge.
​
From March-May 2024 we held 18 workshops, in-person and online. Online versions are available to stream on our website!​
​
We also provided free 1:1 training for business owners, and seven businesses (drawn randomly from all workshop attendees) won $500 of consulting time with a local web designer or graphic designer.
​

Recycled Art Show
Event Date: November 4th - 16, 2023
​
Fundraising event to help raise money for two fantastic scholarships. Event will run over America Recycles Day and is an exciting collaboration with MainStreet T or C, the Sierra Arts Council and The Bountiful Alliance Recycling Committee
