About Wayfinding Signage

Examples of existing signage in T or C.

We're not looking to replace everything, but we do hope to replace older/faded/outdated signage with more appealing and uniform signs!
Wayfinding signs help share the identity of a place, while directing people (locals and tourists, pedestrians and drivers) to important locations.

We are working to identify locations where signs are needed (directing traffic from interstate exits to downtown T or C, and helping people get around once they are downtown).

We are identifying important public sites to locate through signage (such as parks, museums, City Hall, etc.)

With the help of graphic designers and landscape architects from the New Mexico MainStreet network, we will create a plan for signage that will be visually appealing, easily seen and read, and will create a welcoming vibe in our city.

The Wayfinding Steering Committee includes representatives from MainStreet, the Arts Council, the City of T or C, the Chamber of Commerce, and business owners.
