Here are some of the events that took place during October's Second Saturday Art Hop:

RioBravoFineArt: 110 N. Broadway

RioBravoFineArt presents a show by Dianne Evangelista.

Dianne Evangelista’s paintings represent a variety of subjects. For over 30 years she has been developing her technique and bold illustrative painting style. Dianne’s many fans have long appreciated her vibrant and precise style with imagery spanning cultural and historical eras. The Evangelista show will be on display through November 29.

The September opening show by Tauna Cole and Nolan Winkler continues through late October. This dual artist show very much reflects art as being personal. Winkler’s artwork reflects her emotional state as she creates the pieces. Her work presents a sophisticated exploration of color interacting with graphic and representational elements.

Cole’s pieces for this exhibition are from her current body of work, “The Breath Guides the Mark”. Cole’s experiences with yoga and meditation have made her sensitive to the importance of breathing to her interoception, interoception being the collection of senses providing information to an organism about the internal state of the body. The work in her “Breath” series reflects, with “marks” representing inhalation and exhalation, breathing as a meditative experience in the creation of each piece. The intriguing work of Winkler and Cole is on display through October 25.

For the Evangelista show opening, music will be provided by the RGee Trio. The RGee Trio presents a mixture of pop and rock classics shaped with a light jazz style.
