RioBravoFineArt: 110 N. Broadway
RioBravoFineArt at 110 North Broadway in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, presents Art of My Soul by Leo Neufeld as its January 2025 opening show. This show of seascapes of the rugged Pacific Coast reflects Neufeld’s love of the Pacific Coast and his exceptional mastery of plein air painting. Many admirers and collectors of Neufeld’s work are familiar with his plein air landscapes of the Southwest and his superb figure paintings. The January show will be a unique opportunity to become acquainted with another dimension of this talented artist. The works in this show of seascapes truly mirror the artist’s passion for his art and a passion for the creative process itself. These seascapes capture, with astounding intensity, scenes ranging from a roiling sea meeting a rocky shore to one of ethereal mist enveloping Monterrey pines perched above the ocean. Neufeld was encouraged to become an artist when he met James Ingwersen, noted American portrait and landscape artist, in 1974. Neufeld studied art at the Art Students League of New York City. In his art career of almost fifty years, he has lived from and created art from New York to California. In 2022, he was honored with a show, Coast to Coast, at the Art Museum of Greater Lafayette, Indiana. Currently he lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he not only paints, but also teaches art. The show opens January 11 and continues through March 29, 2025.
