RioBravoFineArt: 110 N. Broadway
RioBravoFineArt, 110 North Broadway, Truth or Consequences, presents a dual artist show by Storm Sermay and Dina D’Argo opening on Saturday, May 10 from 6 to 9 pm. This show explores an in-between world that arises from a merging of dreams and reality from two unique perspectives.
Las Cruces artist Sermay is a well-established Southern New Mexico artist who is a member of the Border Artists collective. Sermay creates composites by combining two or more photographs. As she notes in her artist statement, “I started out doing nature composites but have gradually changed my style to more surreal images. Sometimes, as one is falling asleep, strange visions come to mind. With my current work, representing times when nothing quite makes sense, I am creating some of these visions to share with others.”

D’Argo is relatively new to New Mexico, but she comes to her new home in the Southwest with a lengthy and distinguished artistic career. D’Argo creates quietly powerful, dreamlike, sensitive, atmospheric images that hover somewhere between representational and abstract. Her acrylic paintings on canvas celebrate the Earth, its flora and fauna, and resonate with those who find healing and inspiration in nature.
