MainStreet Truth or Consequences extends a huge thank you to the incredible team of volunteers who made the Diamond Anniversary Fiesta such a memorable success. It was a weekend full of celebration. From the vibrant parade and live music to exciting tournaments and family-friendly activities, there was truly something for everyone to enjoy.
We’d love to hear your thoughts. Let us know what you enjoyed and how we can make next year’s Fiesta even better by filling out our quick feedback survey: www.tinyurl.com/FiestaFeedbackForm. If you’re interested in helping plan the next Fiesta (yes, planning has already begun!), we’d love to have you join the team. Please contact us and we’ll get you involved.
We’re also excited to announce that MainStreet T or C has received a grant from the New Mexico Resiliency Alliance for a new initiative called “T or C Curb Appeal.” We applied for $5,000 in funding, but were awarded $6,000, due to a great track record of successful projects we’ve done through this particular grant. This project will offer microgrants to businesses within the MainStreet district for street-facing exterior improvements such as painting, signage, window enhancements, and more. Participating businesses will be required to provide a 1:2 cash match for their project costs. While full details are still being finalized, the current timeline has applications opening in August, grants awarded in early September, and projects completed by the end of November.
Don’t forget to join us downtown for Second Saturday Art Hop, happening on the second Saturday of every month from 6 to 9 p.m. Local galleries, shops, and venues host art openings, live music, refreshments, and other special events. It’s a great opportunity to enjoy a lively evening with friends or family, explore the creative side of our community, and support local businesses.
