MainStreet Minute - April 2025
Spring is in full swing in downtown Truth or Consequences! It’s the perfect time to stroll, bike, or navigate the new parking spaces while supporting our amazing small businesses.
It’s time to join together again and clean up our town. MainStreet T or C is hosting a community litter clean-up, on Saturday, April 26 starting at 9 am at Ralph Edwards Park. Join us to find out the winners of the youth anti-litter art contest, help clean up T or C in advance of Fiesta, and learn about tree planting from Tree New Mexico. Thank you to the businesses that donated a door prize for either the last clean-up or this one: Riverbend Hot Springs, Sierra Grande, ZIA Gallery, Morning Star Outfitters, Outer Edge Pizzeria, The Charles Motel and Hot Springs, Hot Springs Glamp Camp, A Touch of Yesterday, CHF Thrift Store, Wildflower Boutique, Angel Remnants, Galactic Digs, T or C Brewing Co., Mile Marker 7 Coffee, and The Wild Side Gallery.
MainStreet T or C is also continuing its work on the Wayfinding Project, aimed at designing a signage system to help residents and visitors navigate to key locations throughout town. Community input is an important part of this process. Those who were unable to attend the recent Open House are encouraged to complete a short online survey at https://tinyurl.com/TorCWayfinding to provide feedback on proposed designs and color schemes.
MainStreet will be holding our next Business Breakfast on Monday, May 12 at 8 am at Bikewyrks, located at 304 S. Pershing. All Sierra County business owners, operators, and community leaders are welcome to attend. The breakfast will feature business updates from Bikewyrks owners Daymeon and Rhonda, as well as opportunities for attendees to share news about their own businesses. Please RSVP via the Facebook event or by email (below) to help with our planning.
