Here are some of the events that took place at September's Second Saturday Art Hop:
We held a ceremony to celebrate 20 years of Second Saturday Art Hop, as well as 20 years of being designated a Hot Springs Bathhouse and Commercial Historic District. We gathered at Healing Waters Plaza at the close of Fall Fiesta, and remarks were given by MainStreet Board President Linda DeMarino, former Mayor Steve Green, local artist June Jewell, and Museum Board Representative Brenda Nelson.

RioBravoFineArt: 110 N. Broadway
The opening show at RioBravoFineArt features work by the Border Artists. The Border Artists is a longstanding group of twenty artists who do collaborative exhibitions. This show will feature work by all twenty artists and will include paintings, photographs, sculptures, jewelry, and unique art pieces. The artists will be showcasing some of their most recent artwork.
Members of the Border Artists strive individually to keep their artwork fresh and to explore new artistic concepts. The Border Artists work collectively to make art an integral part of their local communities. There is real effort by members of the Border Artists to make sure that the visual and other art forms receive broad public attention and are supported by public resources in their local communities. September Art Hop marks the beginning of the fall winter art and tourist season in Truth or Consequences. This year, the business community is sponsoring a Fall Fiesta coinciding with Art Hop weekend to mark an historic 75th anniversary for the city. RioBravoFineArt will be one of the participants of the Fiesta. Because of so much interest in the show Delmas Howe: The Lithographs, this exhibition will be extended through Sunday, October 26. The Holly Marino show A Vision of the American West continues through September 21.
