MainStreet Minute: January 2026
MainStreet Truth or Consequences is looking ahead to a busy and productive 2026! With several exciting projects and community events on the horizon, we invite you to join us and spend more time downtown in the year ahead.
We’re kicking off planning for the Levitt AMP Music Series, made possible in part by a grant awarded last fall thanks to strong community support. This free concert series will take place at Ralph Edwards Park, and we’re excited to bring live music to the heart of our community during all three years of the program. Concert dates and performer announcements will be shared in March - stay tuned!
Mark your calendars for a community litter cleanup on Saturday, January 24. Volunteers are invited to meet at 1:00 p.m. at Healing Waters Plaza for brief announcements and safety instructions before spreading out around town to collect trash. We’ll regroup at the Plaza at 2:45 p.m. for photos and closing remarks. Trash bags, gloves, and a limited number of litter pickers will be provided. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear. All ages are welcome!
Our Wayfinding Plan, developed since fall 2024 with support from New Mexico MainStreet and extensive community input, is nearing completion. The process has included public surveys, community meetings, and an inventory of existing signage, resulting in proposed designs and recommendations to better guide visitors and new residents to key destinations around town. We will share the plan with the City Commission for support, and pursue grant funding to produce and install the new signs.
