Here are some of the events that will take place at February's Second Saturday Art Hop:

RioBravoFineArt: 110 N. Broadway
RioBravoFineArt presents It’s About Time by Susan Noreen as the opening show for Art Hop on February 14.
Noreen, a long time artist at RioBravoFineArt, trained with a realist mural painter for fivenyears to learn her painting skills. She does wonderful paintings, but she is most known for creative and imaginative painted cardboard pieces. Over the years, she has used
her painted cardboard creativity to make totems, masks, and “furniture” pieces with a distinctive Southwest flair. The February show will be truly imaginative presentation of clocks. There will be clocks in the traditional mantel-clock format, but they are profusely
colorful with whimsical accents. There will be clock faces that appear in unexpected places – the tire of a classic pickup or in a colorful musical “instrument” that is painted cardboard. All the clocks have electronic time keeping pieces and are not only great art
pieces but accurate and reliable means for keeping track of time.
The show runs through March 29.
For the opening on February 14 from 6 to 9 pm, the RGee Trio will be providing music, a mixture of pop and rock classics shaped with light jazz style.

Truth or Consequences Contemporary: 312 Main
We have a very exciting show for Art Hop on February 14th at Truth or Consequences Contemporary.
This will be the world premier exhibition of the Kobo Bows and small sculptures made by Tatsuya Nakatani. The first time a collection of his work will be on view for the public.
Tatsuya Nakatani has been a resident of T or C since 2017, and will be sharing 50 of his handmade Kobo bows, small sculptures and LPs for one day only. This show is not to be missed!
He has been a professional percussionist for more than 30 years. Around 2006 he dreamed up the concept of NGO (Nakatani Gong Orchestra) but no bows existed to the specifications that he needed to be able to bow on gongs. So he began creating the Kobo bows for himself and shortly thereafter people began to ask him to make bows for them. Now the art of bow-making is what fills his downtime while he is here in T or C, on his breaks from touring around the world with his percussion.
Each bow is made in his workshop in T or C and takes around 20 hours to complete. Each piece is a work of art, no two are ever exactly alike. They are living tools to create living sounds.
